The Workshop: Not all ideas come from a book

Part of the story concerning the making of four school-house style birdhouses is told in an earlier post. I had barn board; I had some energy.

But I'd also found, while walking home from The Little Red Roaster in Wortley Village with a refill of dark roast in hand, a scrap piece of plywood sitting on the curb.

Hmmm. Enough for four bases for birdhouses, I thought at the time, which was about two to three weeks ago.

Okay. Now they're done, minus a window and door as per an earlier edition. I think the birds will be just fine with that.
