come to papa (4)

Intermittently over the last two weeks I've been writing short posts under the title 'come to papa'. I saw a child's bed on the street, I rescued it (it came to papa!), I cleaned up and cut the lumber into logs and slats for birdhouses and now I'm making log cabin birdhouses.

The wood is dry, sturdy fir and it stacks up nicely on my bench.

Yesterday I learned it takes a nail nicely too and the first of four cabins is underway. I'll finish the others today, then add the 'full on trim package'.

I see four log cabin school houses in my future and you'll see them too, likely under the heading 'come to papa' 5, 6, maybe even 7. See, the process is the thing.
