Bird Watching: "early risers"

At 7:10 this morning I noticed my pair of cardinals (and a lone sparrow) were visiting the feeder. I say, early risers. A titch of snow didn't slow them down.

They enjoyed a few seeds and headed for the nearby blue spruce.

(I have have been getting my money's worth out of that spruce! My wife and I planted it a few years after we bought the house, so $50 divided by 27 = under two dollars per year. Why, I woulda paid double!)
