I liked it when hamburgers were 10 cents.
I liked it when pop was 7 cents a bottle. And it tasted like real Coke, fer cryin’ out loud.
I liked it when I could go to a movie for a dime, and a nickel bag of popcorn filled my lap. And it tasted like real popcorn, not this new microwave crap.
I liked gas at 25 cents a gallon, smokes at 10 cents a pack and when nobody worried about smog or cancer.
I liked the 1940s. Geez, the ‘50s weren’t half bad either.
Can we go back to those days, please?
Life today is just gettin’ toooo darn expensive.
