“Hey. More seeds, please!”
Many birds like the new blue ranch house standing in the ferns that edge a fence in the yard. They can hop from the fence rail to its roof-top in a thrice and scan the nearby feeders to see if there’s something there that they like.
A young sparrow, maybe the one that was practicing a few flying techniques yesterday (from fence rail to The Annex to the feeder to an over-hanging branch to the fence rail to the lawn...), gave me a curious look this morning, as if it was expecting a free breakfast.
Okay, I thought. I’ll finish hanging the laundry, then put a handful near your present perch. How about a song first?

Nothing. More practice is needed in that department, I bet.
