The leaves of one branch of upon my neighbour’s Japanese Maple has turned red. The rest are green or orange and apparently not bothered by the first ice upon the pond.
As I pull into my driveway the red leaves at eye level signal me to stop.
The rest remind me how hardy are some delicate looking plants.
