a contest I could win

I've won few prizes in my life. I'll never win the lottery. I think the last ribbon I was awarded was for defeating all comers in the Grade 7/8 sack race, 1962.

Recently, however, I've been feeling I stand a chance if the following categories are ever contested:

"Best use of a salad fork purchased at a Thrift Shop"

"Best use of something lethal your mother

chased you with when you were a kid"
