I paused in the middle of a writing task this afternoon, the screen saver soon replaced my draft and pictures of my motorcycle began to drift across the screen.

Then my mind drifted: Back to Lake Superior, summer of 2007; to the Gatineau hills in the province of Quebec, summer of 2006; to the eight dollar ferry ride across the Riviere des Outaouais (Ottawa River) that was a simple pleasure on a hot summer afternoon.
