Zoom w a View: "missing - one red pepper!" (1)

Tyrone, my pet rooster, is mystified. I gave him one task and one task only and he scuppered it.

"Keep your eye on that red pepper," I said the other day.

["Tyrone took to the task with eagerness"]

 But today the prize of the pepper plants is missing and Tyrone tells me he turned his back but one time.

["I can't figure this out," he says. "Who? What? When?"] 

"There goes my plan for a salad for lunch, Tyrone. Right out the window," I said.

We're stuck looking for the answer.

Do skunks eat peppers?
