“I think this is the big one, Martha!” says the fisherman.
“You mean a heart attack?” says Martha.
“No, a catfish, fer cryin’ out loud.”
“What bait did ya use?” asks Martha.
[“Whitey’s signs all need a fresh coat of paint.”]
[“The whole shop is done in a light green wash.”]
“Baby crawfish from Whitey’s Bait Shop.”
“Does Whitey still sell worms at 25 cents a dozen?” asks Martha.
[“Windows will be red. Maybe hung up tomorrow.”]
[“Barnboard should last 20 years.”: photos GH]
“Don’t know. His signs were all down fer a new coat of paint.”
[“The flash shows off the light green wash.”]
***
If I had worms I’d go fishin’ right about now, while the paint is dryin’.
