It Strikes Me Funny: "A fine perch - 16 cents"

If building a birdhouse can be called 'work' then the last job of the process - adding a perch - can be called 'having a bit of fun'. It's then that I get to look around my shop for a bit of this or that or a thingamabob.

Recently I attached the following:

[A piece of a knot]

[The last bit of a broom handle]

[Wood scrap and screws]

[Wood scrap, screws and washers]

Yesterday I ran out of washers. Though they now cost 8 cents each, soon I'll have some of the shiniest perches in town. And have a bit of fun in the process.
