Six fine birdhouses came from rescued lumber recently, lumber that had once been part of a fine carriage house in East London. I'd now like to place one of the houses in a tree or upon a pole in the area of town from which the wood came.
That will leave me three for a spring sale, e.g., Gathering on the Green. (I gave one to the fellow who gave me the western cedar and I've kept one for my own property).
I know I mentioned earlier that I would make the perch more colourful but - as one can see - I resisted the temptation. Another tiny strip of old cedar was all I felt was needed.
