birdhouses taste good? why?

Some folks know I love the smell of western red cedar. If it was an aftershave I'd slap it on every morning. But some lumber must taste good too, because somebody out there has got a belly-full of rare barnboard I once turned into several birdhouses.

["Last week, a friend dropped this off for repair. WTHeck!"]

["Maybe a squirrel wants to live inside a tasty house."]

[Q: "Gord - Can you make this good again?" A: You bet.]

I'm sure I can fix the mess, but I won't use the same tasty lumber. Maybe I'll use pine with a dash of chili pepper seasoning.

Any other ideas?

Have you ever seen a squirrel do a job on a birdhouse?
