Good Politics

Occasionally we catch a whiff of good politics. Collaboration takes place amongst political parties, sound commitments to average Canadians are made, and the majority feel they are involved in the growth of their country. Today, a whiff of that is known as 'rare air.'

Good politicians seem in short supply and our collective confidence is shrinking, both in our leaders and country. PM Harper's story, which has nothing to do with productive collaboration or sound commitments on behalf of the majority, affects everyone who hears it, likely in a very negative fashion.

I read the headline 'Many Tories just don't believe Harper's version' (Oct. 31, London Free Press), mulled over recent events and began to yearn for good politics.

Will we ever see the day?
