But not necessarily in that order.
When my wife sees the photo below (from my sisty loveler, via Great Britain) she will say one thing:
“Don’t try this at home.”
When I add "bicycle vacation" to my Green Ideas 2009 list (see side margin) I'll bear that in mind.

But I still had to laugh.

In my house if my husband showed up with that idea my words would be "Have a great time. Check in once in a while."
I went looking for the 2 books you recommended. Guess they're not here in the states. Local library had no record for either one.
Hi twinkelydots,
I picked up both at Chapters but Sliced Iguana was a "bargain book - 80% off" (couple of years ago), and The Upside of Down, by Thomas Homer-Dixon, is a Canadian book and may not have been picked up in the US.
I'm having similar problems getting a book by a US author, Tom Miller. His latest, Trading with the Enemy (a re-issue or update), is re Cuba, another country I'll likely never get to visit.
Let's keep digging - they gotta be out there.
Cheers,
GAH
Oh, it's funny alrightl But I wonder if the gal is laughing.
Ahhhh a fellow bargain bin shopper!
I couldn't remember the complete name of the Iguana book. I just remembered that it had "iguana" in the title.
The librarian came up with a book written by Henry Winkler (The Fonz). Not the same book. Go figure.
BTW: I no longer can. I freeze our harvest.
Oh that pic is hysterical! lol. That would be the day I slept outside when my husband slept in a tent with his bike, muchless. lol. Then again, I don't do camping...so....
