In Deforest City, many ‘darned if you do and darned if you don’t’ situations occur.
From a recent letter to the editor:
“Why is it that snow plows plowed our street five times yesterday morning before 10 a.m.? ...with many streets in poor conditions, surely there are other streets in need of plowing. Give us a break please.”
What? Too much service?

Last week a resident of Warbler Woods appealed for service.
Remember?
After 3 days of snow A. Skinner’s neighbourhood, Warbler Woods in Byron, was buried but there wasn’t a snow plow to be seen. She vented, a very natural and healthy response at times, as follows.
“This is getting ridiculous, but not as crazy as our property taxes... taxes here for the average home are $6,700 a year.”
How would you like to be a snowplow driver in Deforest City?
"Get out here! Now go away. Service. Stop!"
Darned if I do!
