I just finished two medium-size bird feeders to replace at least one of my smaller one.
["Rescued cedar w blue stain - from a house reno"]
Rescued white cedar for the base and roofs, rescued white pine for supports and trim around the base. I’m happy.
["I should have made two more; they're very sturdy": photos GH]
The birds should be happier too. More room for more seed. A perch at one end for the small ones while the big ones, e.g., cardinal and blue jays, hog the food. Taller supports so the blue jay that visited today will return and not have to squat.
["This one is too short for jays, but squirrels love it!"]
Why, even the furry rats will be happier - but only until I put the new feeders on top of squirrel-proof poles, or block the clotheslines with more beer cans. One way or another, their days of stealing seed are numbered.

More action at the bird feeder below.
