Quick. How does that line end?
You might have to be my age to remember.
Both teachers and students of photography, however, will find it easy to share their camera work (or play) with others after following a few simple instructions posted at Written Inc.
Carmi's theme this week at Thematic Photographic, relates to - water. (Not Quik)

Oh, the ripples and sand make me want to wade.
Great shots. :)
I used my ripples on sand shot several weeks ago for the "Light" theme (but would I do it differently if I'd known? Nah!).
I love the play of light on the surface in the first two shots. And of course, the sand/water/light shot is a classic (and there's good reason!).
As always, great work GH.
PS: I think that ends "and not a drop to drink". If memory serves, that was from the days of the old sailing ships -- or possibly a shipwreck or whatever. The lesson in the verse I think was supposed to be that you can't drink seawater. The story goes that the salt (and attendant fluid retention) will cause the tongue to swell enough to completely obstruct the airway, suffocating the victim. True? Beats me. Seems like you'd have to drink an awful lot of seawater to bloat up like that. But there's always a kernel of truth in myth... I just don't know how big a kernel this one is.
thanks mojo,
i think i heard the line 'and not a drop to drink' in a B and W movie many years ago. [The Mutiny of the Bounty?]
An old sailor [with British accent] said as much to a young pup who was tempted to drink sea water... from a plastic bottle no less.
just kidding about the last part.
cheers,
gord h.

Oooh... these water shots are refreshing! I agree with missmeliss and want to go wading!
And then there is also the line from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory:
Bubbles, bubbles everywhere and not a drop to drink.
If I had to vote for my favorite, it would be the second picture, of your grandson telling about the one that got away. The story in the picture is great, but what I really like is the golden sunlight dancing in the water. I love that colour.
Great post, GH.

The sun sparkling off the water is nice, I like those shots. I think my favorite is the sand and water tho, it looks very inviting.
I enjoyed.
