Austerity without Anxiety: By the ounce

My parents grew accustomed to thin times over the course of their lifetimes.

Some of their frugal habits rubbed off on me.

For example, I like to dilute juice from the supermarket. 10% juice, 90% water. Saves money. Tastes fine. If I turn into my parents by diluting juice, that's fine by me.

When more thin times come, maybe such habits will come in handy.

Hi WB, Thanks for the visit. When marathoning I added a bit of juice to my water; I therefore reached for my water bottle more often, because of the added flavour and sweetness, and I stayed hydrated longer. Saved money too: didn't have to buy Gatorade at 2 bucks a pop. GH
