London Birds: A cardinal’s nest (what’s left of it!)

Last spring a local cardinal made a nest in an apricot tree situated a few steps from my front porch. At the time I could catch a glimpse of it - it seemed fragile to me - and now I can see its remains. 

Now I know what happened to old grocery lists I tossed into a blue box on the porch.
