Over a week ago, the detour that Barack Obama’s 50-car motorcade made in Ottawa (so the Prez could try Beavertail) was worldwide news, but, due to iron-fisted Conservative government control over information both good and bad, the US President’s reaction to the taste of the Canadian staple was squashed.

Thanks to an impeccable (and immaculately dressed) source, however, I can say with almost 100 per cent assurance that the President had an immediate response to his first bite.
