As many readers know, there’s no love lost between Conservative Transport Minister John “Big Beano” Baird and me.
[We prefer not to talk about our differences anymore. It’s just too painful.]
["I'm not kidding. He thinks we're all idiots!": photo by Michael D.]
However, when I read that someone else thinks he’s way off kilter too, I feel it only right to mention it.
For example, this from last Friday’s issue of the London Free Press:
“Does (Baird) really think we are that gullible? If he truly believes in what he is saying (“elections will cause instability”), his government should be apologizing to Canadians, first for threatening to call an election last fall just as the economic failure was devastating our jobs and savings, then for compounding its mismanagement with an inadequate and unjust budget, causing Harper to suspend Parliament again.” Signed - Doug B., St. Thomas
Doug has a good memory, doesn't he?
***
To answer Doug’s initial question.
Yes, he does. Or, at the very least, he hopes we are.
