I shook my camera this morning and a few more photos fell out from a recent crop tour that took me to the public beach in Bayfield.
Though the purple martin house revealed in an earlier post was active, it contained more sparrows and swallows than martins. This taller one was filled with purple martins.
Most of the balconies are in good order and in constant use.
Adults rest and pose for photos while younger members of the clan stick their heads out the door for more food.
Kids these days. Come on - get a hair cut and a real job.

I assume the martins are raising their second brood.
Will they stick around and raise a third?
