Somewhere there’s a similar photo taken 30 years later
What are my chances? I’m about to open four Tupperware containers my wife Pat and I use to keep our family’s photographic history fresh for future generations. I’m looking for the one photo from my ‘tobacco workin’ days’ in the 1960s.
I pop the lids about once a year. From the thousands (okay, maybe millions) of packages of photos and millions (okay, maybe billions) of individual shots dating back to the years of our birth, an era in which Kodak Brownie box cameras were still in use, it’s almost impossible to find the object of any search.
To date I have a 95 per cent failure rate, because our countless photos are not organized by year, decade, main subject or theme (there is only one theme - “These are all ours. Aaach!”), and because I’m easily distracted.
