I’m tempted to sing that I have the nicest soft-needled pine tree on the entire block. (I may have the only soft-needled pine tree on the entire block, but that’s beside the point).
In fact, I think I will sing. Recognize this one?
My Tree
I've got sunshine
On a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside,
I've got the month of May.
Well, I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way?
My tree. (My tree, my tree)
Talkin' 'bout my tree. (My tree)
["This tree has the loveliest smell. Bees like it, too": photo GAH]
I've got so much honey
The bees envy me.
I've got a sweeter song
Than the birds in the trees.
Well, I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way?
My tree. (My tree, my tree)
Talkin' 'bout my tree. (My tree)
Though the temptation is still there to sing, I need some coffee. See you at The Red Roaster.
