mix and match

The job of using up numerous bits and pieces of wood, so that I'll be able to see the shop floor again, continues. I'm now assembling nine birdhouses from materials that fall under the heading of 'a bit of this, a piece of that' or 'mix and match'.

The process of mixing works for me on two levels. I never know how the birdhouse will look until it's finished, and I like surprises. And I can already see the floor again!
