The trumpet vine is sheltered from the recent heat wave by an over-hanging maple tree, so growth is seen and music is heard daily upon my back deck.

Before opening (i.e., Wed. a.m.)

["Muffled tones only"]

After opening (Thurs. a.m.)

["Toot toot a root, all day long!"]

The sweet sounds of nature are easy on the ears.
