bird feeder works like a charm

The backyard location of Big Red (my old but improved feeder), i.e., ten feet from where I sit in my study, definitely has its pros and cons.

["A squirrel (right, on ground) is stymied by

the metal collar under the feeder. Yes!!"]

Pros:

     It's in a safe spot for scores of birds

     It's also feet from my shop and 25 lb. of seed

     I can now watch the action from two excellent
     locations, both places I frequent everyday
     (for writing and woodworking)

["Two blue jay buddies, daily visitors, watch me closely"]

Cons:

     I can't get any work done!

Yup, I shoulda thought of that.
