winter scenes from Canada, eh (7)

Recall November 23, 2013? Snow came down relentlessly and quieted the neighbourhood. The only sound I heard was the bubbling of coffee brewed at The Red Roaster. "Off we go," I said to my wife.

["Wife Pat leads the way. Only another 100 metres to go.
I straggle behind so she'll order our java and pay."]

[A youngster took a break from his hot chocolate

and said, "The little birdhouse is for the babies." 

["The walk home was quieter still. Heavenly."]
