The Maple Leafs: What do we have here?

Leaf fans didn’t get the three-wins-in-a-row they wanted recently, but if you’ve been paying attention - and you should, you really should - to one of Canada’s favourite teams lately, you’ll know what we did get... three wins out of the last four games.

How do I describe this turn of fortune?

Fairly interesting, that’s how. Beating the Devils was expected; the Dallas win was some better.

When C Dion Phaneuf returns to the old blue and white, The Leafs will be a better team than they are right now, so we may find them above the dreaded playoff line by Christmas.


What do the stats reveal?

We need to score more goals. We need to allow fewer goals. We need to beat Ottawa and Buffalo this week (both away games). We need Stamkos.
