From the Dylan Files: "not a BEST VALUE album"

I played Empire Burlesque from front to back twice yesterday because sometimes I was cutting lumber or assembling birdhouses - noisily - and I didn't hear each song first time through.

At the end of the second session I asked and answered the following questions:

["Nothing on the CD that wire snips can't fix"]

Did the CD deserve its BEST VALUE sticker? No.

Was it better than a cup of coffee? Yes.

Will I keep it in the shop's October musical lineup? Yes.

Do I have something better on the shelves in my shop? I certainly hope so.

Joni's up next. Then 'Tooth and Nail' by one of my favourites...
