On the Thames Valley Parkway (TVP) North

April 10 - 11, 2023

Sweetie Pie, as found near the ol' swimmin' hole in Gibbons Park

Highlights of a walk on the TVP North:

#1 'turtle photo' of the year 2023. It definitely won't be the last.
See below!

I was told last year that this is called "a red-earred slider"

And the ducks are called "ducks"

Turtles are cautious creatures and slip into the water when startled or
annoyed or find a curious guy with a camera inside their comfort zone

It spotted me getting closer and soon thereafter disappeared

And now, a 6-sec. video from the wee bridge over Carling Creek, London:

Music is called "Busy City" by Track Tribe (YouTube Music Library)

Another big highlight of the second full week of April: I spotted a young owl, one of a famous pair, that was getting much attention from local photographers. During my walk I directed one curious man - with "his small camera" (w large zoom lens) - who said he had come from Toronto "hoping to spot the owls."

Finally, one of the wee ones turned its head

"Whooo-zat?"
