Bird Watching: "sun on an angle"

Regularly now, there are as many as six mourning doves at a time roosting in the nearby blue spruce. That's just a hop, skip, jump or short flight from my backyard feeder.

Yesterday, when the sun cleared the roof of a neighbour's house, I caught a few visitors, including a lone dove, enjoying a sunny patch.

And enjoying seeds at the same time.
