Bird Watching: "travelling in pairs"

Sparrows and starlings travel in large rough gangs. Gentle doves in bevies. Lively and ever-present juncos in flashes, as in 'a flash of juncos' ate all the seeds in my feeder. And alert cardinals and blue jays travel in pairs.

They watch out for each other. Their heads are always turning.

["I'm watching you, Gordie Boy," says Mrs. C]

["I'm watching you, Gordie Boy," says Big Blue]

["We're both watching you"]

Buddies in red and blue. Come back anytime.
