easy kap-easy: the $7 birdhouse

There's easy. There's not-so-easy.

Easy. Once I'd drawn up a plan for 'the $7 birdhouse' I assembled the parts - for an even half-dozen - quicker'n you can say "how much wood can a woodchuck chuck" three times... in Mandarin.

["The even half-dozen in in the back left corner of the pile"]

Not-so-easy. Learning Mandarin via CD. And walking past my spare lumber pile without making another, then another birdhouse. I was up to eleven by the end of the day.

["The woodpile keeps growing, and I like to keep working"]

Today is all about sanding and assembly until 5 p.m. Should be fun.
