What's Hairy Up To?

On September 9 I posted photos of a hairy woodpecker a-knockin' at the front door of a birdhouse attached to my front porch. He took off after I snapped a few photos... but he didn't fly south.

"A-knockin' at the back door this time"

He just took a week off, then returned to my back deck, where he tried enlarging the hole on a sturdy cedar birdhouse attached to the back wall of my house. He's industrious, to say the least.

Where will he strike next I wonder?
