The Type of Line Design that - Not by Design! - has
Something in Common with Real Life, Really : )
"What's with all the little bumps and speckles?"
Introduction:
I'm not 100% sure where the idea came from re this latest type of line design. It is a wee bit related to other styles, such as when a second and third line (etc.) follows the contours or directions of a first. The shape changes a bit but not too much unless one keeps adding new features (i.e., speckles ; ) to draw over, that interrupt the flow of a set of lines.
As I continued with this first design I kept adding speckles, rounded bumps and straight obstructions. And the idea of "imperfections growing one by one" came to mind. Then came a title.
Maybe the growth of new shapes is at least one more way for me to get my money's worth out of 3 - 4 boxes of markers, you know, because I'm cheap and don't want them wasted??
Progress continued steadily until completion and framing:
