Willy, an exceptional birdhouse builder from Tilbury Ont., makes one spicy meatball, and I want to know what country or heritage influences his work.

My own, made in Canada, are mainly influenced by the availability of used or recycled lumber and a can of double boiled linseed oil.
You want colour? My latest batch, finished yesterday, will really warm up in colour after I apply linseed oil.
But they won’t be a riot of colour like Willy’s. He’s on his own.

Next to Willy, I look like I was deprived of crayons as a kid.
Have you see any as colourful as his?
