Bird Watching: "an old-fashioned stare down"

For two days in a row Mr. C has perched outside my study window in an advantageous spot. He's in the sun, no more than 8 feet from mixed seed in my feeder.

I notice he gives me the eyeball. When it comes to an old-fashioned stare down, I say it's a tie.
