Harrison Hop Farm Fotos (2)

The Summer Growing Season is Over

A lovely aroma is in the air

Introduction:

I clipped and snipped hop vines yesterday, bagged and tagged them for the curb, and while doing so I revelled in the sweet aroma of maturing hops.

And then I thought about having a beer.

So I checked my watch - and by golly - it was close enough to Happy Hour to stop what I was doing and sit on the back deck with a mild lager. I snipped a couple of hop cones, stirred them into my drink (and so did a close neighbour) and we enjoyed sipping "lager plus".

I say, "Nothing finer in the state of Caroliner in the mor-r-r-r-ning."
