How is Howdy Doody doing after all these years?

Last time I saw Howdy Doody on TV I was relaxing atop a terrible bed in a small motel room in Niagara Falls, Canada - circa 1980.

My two boys had no idea who he, or it, was.

Today I discovered how Howdy ended up after a long career at the end of several strings.

In an email from an older sister I discovered the following photos (along with many other ‘before and after’ shots):




So, now we know.
