Do Ya Wanna Dance?

I've read that mourning doves mate for life. But I've never seen any 'initial moves', say, initiated my the male (if you catch my drift) until Saturday morning. The guy's technique left something to be desired.

[Male: "I think I'll chase you around the yard"]

[Male: "I think I'll hop right on." Female (flying off): "You cad!"]

To all you guys out there who wanna dance, I suggest the following:

   Don't jump at her from behind while

   she's picking seeds from the grass

   After supper, try some quiet conversation

   over a glass of wine

   Flowers never hurt

   Candy is dandy

Let me know how... No. Don't even bother. I actually don't want to know.
