In 2007 I rode a 1984 Yamaha Virago (1000 CC) to Thunder Bay and back, 3,200 total km. Best ride of my life up to that point.

The ride served as a real confidence builder for my next major motorcycle ride, i.e., to Halifax in 2010 (about 4,500 total km.) to bury my father at sea. Practice makes perfect.
