Busy Bird Times
After the bluejay took off the other day a band of sparrows dominated the feeder for several minutes. They were so active a mourning dove hesitated to join in the feeding frenzy. A Brewer's Blackbird, however, was happy to scare off the smaller birds in order to put on the feed bag.
Shortly after the blackbird disappeared the dove got its chance.
