Favourite Barn on Highway 2
My 'painting years' lasted longer than expected because oil paints and related supplies were expensive and I wanted to get my money's worth. Who knew one tube of Cobalt Blue cost 15 bucks?
In 2002, while training for the Chicago Marathon, I ran past a lovely barn - I want that barn, I said aloud - on Highway two east of Kingston and made a mental note to return later with camera in hand.

Sometime later I did a rendering in oil. Man, expensive stuff. And who knew two horses would take two days to paint?
