Boil and Bubble

I felt in my bones recently a troublesome storm was brewing. Clouds overhead were a fuzzy gray but, in the north-west, all was as black as a witch's very bad mood.

Within seconds, clouds above the house became well-defined and nearby blue jays raised a noisy alarm. I spotted the birds as they headed south-east. I snapped a few photos and headed indoors.
