Unlocked. Quiet.
I unlocked my workshop yesterday after a two-week-long hiatus in the UK. I slowly looked around, surveyed the quiet scene.
I saw 25 - 30 birdhouses that required a bit of loving attention. Some needed perches, others a bit of paint or final wee pieces of trim. I was soon involved in a variety of easy, comfortable tasks while a small space heater warmed the floor.
It felt grand to be back, occupying my hands and mind with rewarding work, paying the bills that had gradually piled up while I travelled in a foreign land.
When the bills are paid, where will I go then? Stay tuned.
